Carlos Zurita and Paquita Jarrin have more ambition and entrepreneurial spirit than just about anyone.
Even as university students studying business administration in the early 1990s, the young couple
was intensely focused on succeeding - all they needed was an opportunity. So Carlos and Paquita
turned their ambition into a thriving business - and their dreams into reality.
"We just wanted to earn some extra income."
Carlos and Paquita recall that when they first discovered Herbalife, turning the opportunity
into a lifelong business wasn't their plan. "We were both depending on our families at the
time," recalls Paquita, "so we saw this as a great way to make some money while we finished school."
The couple's first experience with Herbalife resulted in personal product success: "Paquita lost 18 pounds,
and I improved my health," says Carlos. But perhaps the greatest gift Herbalife has given the couple
was their ability to help their families. "Paquita's dad, an Army Colonel, had real health benefits on
the products - and then became our first Supervisor," explains Carlos. "There's nothing more
rewarding than being able to help repay my parents, who helped me start this business in the
first place," says Paquita. "And now my parents are Millionaire Team members!"
"We live in our dream home and travel the world."
Even though their business keeps them busy, Carlos and Paquita still find time to enjoy life - lots of time.
As Paquita explains, "We've traveled to the Caribbean and Europe and continue to enjoy wonderful trips
all over the world with Herbalife."*
