No Loss, Just Gain
Having always been an entrepreneur, Russell first tried his hand at the travel industry.
Yet, because the airline business is very risky, Russell's venture eventually went bankrupt.
His stepmother then introduced him to Herbalife. He initially questioned whether a housewife
could really make $10,000 per month, so she pulled out her checks and showed him.
"Okay, then. I could do this," Russell told himself. Russell began by taking Herbalife products
and living by the "Use, Wear, Talk" business plan. Though he didn't have any weight to lose,
he tested out the weight-loss program and dropped a few pounds in a matter of days.
"I get a lot of potential Distributors who think that if they don't have weight to lose then
they can't do this business. I tell people that it doesn't matter because so many people want
to look and feel better. If you're looking for the opportunity to sell a product, there's got to
be a broad-based demand. And, according to government statistics, over 60% of people have
weight they need to lose."
In order to improve Distributor success and retention rates, Russell implements a screening
process to help people understand realistically what they can expect from the business and
how much effort they need to put in to make the return that they desire. "I focus heavily
on personal goals and development. We help our downline Distributors create a fixed
blueprint that's basically their 90-day plan to achieve their personal goals, specifically
mapped out. We give them the support they need to succeed."
Thanks to Herbalife, Russell and his wife now live in a gorgeous home on the Intercoastal
Waterway in Florida. His business has expanded to four continents and the couple travel
all over the world. "We live a dream lifestyle - we shop whenever we want, we never have
to worry about unpaid bills, and we have an office that overlooks a lap pool right beside the ocean."*
The biggest advice Russell has for others: Thousands of other people have been able to
have success with Herbalife to varying degrees for almost 25 years. "If you set realistic
goals and work hard on the business and on yourself, I believe you can find a way to
make Herbalife successful for you, too."
